Adding a New Discussion Topic to the Forum

1. When you are in the Forum area you will see the option to “Add New Item” select that item.

2. You will see a form that you will complete. The parts of the post to complete are:

Post Title: This topic title describes this discussion.

Post Body: This is the main message of your post. You can

Keywords: Commonly referred to as 'Tags' are words that represent the weblog post you have just made. This will make it easier for others to search and find your posting.

Access Restrictions: Sets who you would like to see this post. You can set this so that anyone can see the post (Public) which is your default choice, only you can see the post (Private), only logged in Commun-IT members (Logged in Users) or only logged in users from a specific community (Community:Name of Community).

Embed a File: This will embed a file from your commun-IT.org file storage by adding a code to your post that will be converted into an embedded file.

3. Once you complete the post select the “Post” button.
